Charity Overview
The Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centre (MSK) is a world leader in Cancer treatment, research, and education. Since 1884, this charity has been working tirelessly to develop and provide groundbreaking cancer treatment, currently including over 400 types of cancer. Their goal is to end cancer, for everyone.

Project Summary
MSK has deployed 100% of its ICAP Charity Day funding to develop the Cycle for Survival programme which conducts research into the cures for rare cancers. Around 50% of people diagnosed with cancer have a rare form and treatment options can be limited, or even non-existent. With the help of our funding, the Cycle for Survival program enables scientists and researchers at MSK to pursue bold and innovative ideas that may not otherwise get off the ground. Treatments developed with Cycle for Survival’s support are directly helping to save lives around the world.
It truly felt like a family was supporting us through every step of my mom’s cancer diagnosis.Kristin S.
Steven McDermott, former ICAP COO, fostered our longstanding relationship with this charity after receiving treatment himself at MSK. Since then, the Stephen P. McDermott Chair in Surgery was established at MSK, held by John H. Healey, MD, who led the team in providing care for musculoskeletal tumors. ICAP Charity Day continues to support MSK's incredible work, helping in their mission to end cancer for life.
