Charity Overview
Komera empowers adolescent girls in rural Rwanda to overcome barriers to education, health, and leadership. Through its Secondary School Scholarship Program, Komera provides full financial support including tuition fees, uniforms, supplies, and mentoring while engaging families and communities to champion girls’ education.
Project Summary
ICAP Charity Day enabled Komera to award scholarships to two new classes of Rwandan girls, covering tuition, supplies, and mentoring. Scholars gained leadership skills, improved academically, and progressed to university. Our support also expanded career guidance helping girls overcome hardship and step confidently into education and community leadership.
Thanks to ICAP Charity Day support, we’ve been able to help young girls like Christella by funding their education, providing essentials such as uniforms and health insurance, and offering mentorship and leadership training.
