Charity Overview
Youth Insearch is Australia’s longest-running peer-led, trauma-informed programme for young people aged 12 to 25, supporting those experiencing trauma, mental ill health, family breakdown, grief, and substance use. Unlike clinical models, it is community-embedded and youth-led, built on the belief that peers with lived experience are best placed to support one another. The programme includes weekend trauma recovery workshops, weekly peer-led groups, peer mentoring, wraparound support, and youth-led governance. Since 1985, it has reached over 32,000 young people and currently supports 800 annually across 34 locations in NSW, QLD, and VIC - helping young people move from crisis towards hope and resilience.
