Funding from ICAP Charity Day will help deliver the Blesma Storytelling and Wellbeing - Preventative Programme, which will enable them to run a new 12-part creative programme for Blesma Members (veterans) in need. This initiative will use storytelling, writing, visual arts, and sculpture to improve wellbeing, build resilience, and reduce social isolation.

Charity Overview

Blesma is the only national Armed Forces charity dedicated to supporting limbless and injured veterans for life. It helps its Members manage the daily challenges of limb loss, impaired limb use, or sight loss through tailored support. This includes home adaptations, mobility aids, mental health services, social activities, peer mentoring, and advocacy. The programmes empower Members and their families to face life’s challenges with renewed confidence and self-belief.
