A donation from ICAP Charity Day will support the Barrier-free Access Experiential Learning Unit (BFAELU). This is set up to conduct workshops, seminars, consultations and assessments on barrier-free access for schools, professional bodies and commercial organisations.The service includes Access Check Service, “Inclusive Workplace” & “Disability and Elderly Friendly” Training workshops, Inclusive Stand Up Comedy and much more.

Charity Overview

The idea of PHAB (stands for Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied) Integration originated in the UK and was introduced into HK in 1970s. Since 1972, Hong Kong PHAB Association has been providing activities and services based on the concept and strives at promoting integration for persons with and without disabilities. The charity aims to promote integration between persons with and without disabilities in all aspects of life through social, recreational, education and development activities and vocational training, to foster understanding and facilitate full participation and equal opportunities in any community event or way of life.
