A donation from ICAP Charity Day will help develop new technologies to support autism families during the Covid-19 pandemic. This includes research to improve remote evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and intervention, as well as projects to build new remote learning products, like therapeutic robots controlled virtually by licensed therapists.

Charity Overview

The Autism Science Foundation funds research to understand the causes of autism and to develop new autism treatments. ASF also supports families raising children with autism and, during the Covid-19 pandemic, has worked with families and researchers to help them navigate the unique challenges associated with teletherapy, telemedicine, and virtual learning. ASF also provides information about autism to the general public and serves to increase awareness of autism spectrum disorders and the needs of individuals and families affected by autism.
