A donation from ICAP Charity Day will fund the cost of running Grief Encounter’s confidential helpline ‘GriefTalk’, which can be accessed by calling a free telephone number, online chat or by email. The helpline is there to help change the lives of children, young people and families affected by bereavement.

Grief Encounter is one of the UK’s leading childhood bereavement charities, providing free, pioneering services and support to children, young people and their families after the death of a significant loved one. 1 in 29 children in the UK under the age of 16 will suffer the death of a parent or sibling. Grief Encounter offer a wide range of direct and indirect services to help families rebuild their lives and address a multitude of challenging issues following bereavement, alleviating the hurt and confusion caused, whilst promoting healing.
