The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides life-saving emergency evacuations and essential healthcare to rural and remote Australia, with a service footprint of over 90% of the continent. The RFDS is a lifeline for people living, working and travelling through rural and remote Australia. RFDS doctors, flight nurses and medical specialists take the finest care to Australia’s furthest corners.
In the past year, the RFDS South Eastern Section has flown over 48,253,22 km, conducted 5,000 clinics, received 38,000 calls and transported more than 7,500 patients.
