Shooting Star Children’s Hospices

A donation from ICAP Charity Day will continue our funding of two Hospice Community Nurses for another year. Theses nurses provide support to families whose child is in the last 6 months of life in their homes and in hospital.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, Shooting Star are there to make every moment count. The Shooting Star care service is available 365 days a year, free of charge to families and includes a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups, specialist nursing care and respite, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
