Charity Overview

Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) established in 1996 is a self-funding voluntary welfare organisation. It strives to ensure that people with Down syndrome are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential in all aspects of community life through the provision of education, enrichment programmes and support services.

Members of the Association with Down syndrome and their families benefit from a wide range of educational programmes such as the Integration Facilitation Support Programme, the Adult Enhancement Programme and Enrichment Programmes. The aim of all of these programmes is to develop and showcase the artistic, sporting talents and capabilities of people with intellectual disabilities, so that they can maximise their quality of life.
