A donation from ICAP Charity Day will support Community-Based and Site-Based Mentoring programs. These programs provide Triangle-area children in need of adult role models a one-to-one mentor relationship with a volunteer from the community.

Charity Overview

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle operates under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As an affiliate of the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, our organization makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages six through 18, in Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties. We develop positive relationships that have an impactful, lasting effect on the lives of young people. National research has shown that positive relationships between Littles and their Bigs have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives.
