At Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, doctors are leaders in diagnosing and treating all types of childhood cancers, including leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, brain and spinal cord tumours, neurofibromatosis, and bone and soft tissue sarcomas. They also specialise in diagnosing and treating platelet, white blood cell, and blood-clotting disorders.
The team, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, comprises doctors and nurses who specialise in hematology and oncology, nurse practitioners, social workers, child life specialists, psychologists, educators, nutritionists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
