Charity Overview
Fundacion Nuestros Hijos is a charity founded in 1991 by a group of parents who have lived through the experience of having a child diagnosed with cancer and received care from the St. Jude Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude’s is considered a world leader in cancer care where all treatments are administered free of charge. Grateful for the exceptional care provided by the hospital, these parents came together to replicate this work in Santiago, in memory of their own children.
The foundation built and supports two child oncology units, one located in the Dr. Sótero del Río Hospital, and the other in the Exequiel González Cortés Hospital where an Ambulatory Attention Unit has been constructed to provide appropriate chemotherapy and psychological assistance.
