Boys and girls sometimes arrive at The Christmas Seal Homes bearing some serious scars due to bullying or being overweight and have a general lack of self-esteem. A donation from ICAP will go towards funding projects which allow children to participate in a ten week residential stay where the support of responsible adults teach them all about healthy living - both physically and mentally. The overall aim is to provide them with the tools they need to continue to lead a positive and healthy life when they return home.

Charity Overview

The Christmas Seal Homes are temporary homes for children who need support to help them get over a crisis or trauma in their lives. There are four Christmas Homes in Denmark, each one focuses on encouraging children to lead a healthy and positive lifestyle to help benefit their future development. They encourage healthy habits both in terms of diet, exercise and social interaction.
