The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference to the lives of people affected by this devastating diagnosis. The charity fund pioneering research to help increase survival rates for sufferers; raise awareness of the symptoms and to improve quality of life.
Brain tumours do not discriminate, they affect everyone from grandparents to young children. There are currently 55,000 people in the UK living with the life changing impact of a brain tumour. The Brain Tumour Charity is committed to finding a cure and defending the most amazing part of the human body, so that a diagnosis no longer equates to a potential death sentence.
The charity has successfully rolled out an early diagnosis campaign called ‘HeadSmart’ for children and now want to develop a professional and public facing campaign for adult brain tumour diagnosis, in the UK. ‘HeadSmart’ for adults educates the public and healthcare professionals on early signs and symptoms of brain tumours to reduce diagnosis times.
