Charity Overview
SPD, formerly known as the Society for the Physically Disabled, is a voluntary welfare organisation which was established in 1964. SPD works with people with disabilities to develop their full potential, enabling them to be self-reliant and independent. The charity operate from four centres located in various areas of Singapore, supporting all ages from the very young through to the elderly. The charity aim to work towards building an inclusive society for disabled people.
SPD runs 20 services that encompass rehabilitation, learning vocational skills, gaining employment and the offer of day care, education and social support.
